Why ABN status matters
Cancelled ABNs in your books are an ATO audit risk for the buyer.
If the ATO audits a venue and they have got cancelled ABNs from suppliers, that becomes a serious issue. It is up to the buyer to check that all their suppliers have a valid ABN.
